Blethen Sale

I've long admired the Seattle Times, most recently for excellent coverage of the FCC hearings out there on media consolidation. I'm extremely concerned in that regard and sincerely hope that Maine can muster the means to prevent further consolidation of our media. Not enough on that topic has appeared in either our print or broadcast media, which seems very strange indeed. Could it be that the financial consequences (from potential conglomerate buyers) of taking a strong pro-citizen, pro-democracy stance might be the reason?
